FAQs Of Dyronib Tablet
Q1. Can I stop taking Dyronib when I feel better?
A1. No. You should only stop or change the dose under the guidance of your doctor, because stopping may allow the cancer to progress.
Q2. Can I drink alcohol while taking Dyronib?
A2. There is no direct contraindication cited for moderate alcohol use, but alcohol may worsen side effects (like liver burden or fatigue). It’s best to discuss with your doctor.
Q3. What if I become pregnant while on this medicine?
A3. You must inform your healthcare provider immediately. Dasatinib may harm the unborn baby, so effective contraception is required during treatment and for a time after stopping.
Q4. How long will it take to see the benefit from this medicine?
A4. It varies by patient and can Ofer types. Some effects (like improved blood counts) may show in weeks to months, but full benefit may take longer. Regular monitoring is essential.
Q5. Are there special storage instructions?
A5. Yes. Store the tablets in a cool, dry place below 25 °C (or as per manufacturer’s instructions), out of reach of children and away from moisture/light.
Interactions Of Dyronib Tablet
There are many possible drug interactions. Notable ones include:
-
Grapefruit/grapefruit juice significantly increases dasatinib levels, which may lead to increased side effects.
-
Many medications (over 800) can interact with dasatinib; some increase the risk of bleeding, others change heart rhythm, or affect drug levels. Antacids, acid reducers, PPIs/H2 blockers taken close to dasatinib may reduce its absorption and effectiveness.
-
Taking NSAIDs, blood thinners, or antiplatelet drugs increases bleeding risk.
